The ASDESI Holiday Kids Klub – By Interchange Australia Consultant, Amber Hall
School holidays are an important time for kids to recharge and escape the busy regular school term routines. It is also an opportunity for kids to have fun participating in leisure activities and to enjoy time with their families and friends. It can potentially be a stressful time for parents with children that have disabilities and their parents/carers if they can’t find a holiday program or supports that meet the needs of their child.
Our popular ASDESI Holiday Kids Klub is held during the school holidays. The ASDESI Holiday Kids Klub offers a wide range of exciting activities for kids with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) aged between 6-18 years and their siblings. Staffed by qualified and empathetic staff with a high staff to kid’s ratio, the ASDESI Holiday Kids Klub builds skills and confidence of children in a fun and safe environment. Kids build friendships and are supported to participate in a wide range of interesting activities including visits to zoos, museums and a variety of sports including mini-golf, tenpin bowling and surfing. Interchange Australia can offer additional supports to children who are eligible under NDIS funding and can also offer a range of fee-for-service supports.
