Music is a powerful medium of expression and offers a whole range of benefits to people’s lives. At Interchange Australia we are delighted to provide musical programs to ensure our clients are learning and gaining confidence in nurturing musical skills and experiences to improve their enjoyment of life!
In recent months we have seen clients gain great confidence in their musical and performing abilities. Some clients start in our band class learning stagehand skills then progress to learning an instrument. One client started as a singer and now performs solo harmonica pieces. It is evident from the smiles on their faces throughout their lessons and enthusiasm at rehearsals how much they value their musical experiences and cherish the fun social interaction.
Our clients take great satisfaction in performing for their peers, family and the wider community. Our Hidden Wonders band have already performed several gigs in the lead up to the greatly anticipated RockCan on Saturday 14th October, including a country and western night at Springett House and are actively rehearsing 60s Rock n Roll songs for their dinner group performance at the Mittagong RSL on Friday 1st September.
Narellan clients enthusiastically performed to family and friends during a morning tea held on Thursday 25th May and, along with clients from Springett House and Travis House, are eagerly rehearsing to battle it out in a friendly inter-house ‘Rock the Houses’ event at Picton Bowling Club on Wednesday 20th September.
