19 December 2019
In 2019, Interchange Australia developed an array of new Day Options activities available across all of our campuses. Our calendar has been re-designed to create broader choices providing exciting, engaging, innovative learning and social experiences for everyone.
One of the components of the calendar available is the Working Wonders program, which is designed to build confidence in people’s abilities through active learning and achievable goals.
Throughout Working Wonders, participants have been focusing on enhancing their numeracy, literacy, communication and life skills. As a result of their achievements, some of our participants have now commenced work experience and some have even acquired paid employment.
The aim of Working Wonders is to assist those who are able to gain employment in the future and set them up to succeed. Like all of our activity offerings, they are tailored to each individual’s needs. Support staff are also allocated according to these needs.
An exciting new component of Working Wonders being introduced in the 2020 will be our newly founded partnership with Moss Vale TAFE, where we will now be offering a Certificate II in Hospitality commencing in February 2020.
This qualification will provide those participants on completion with a pathway to work in various hospitality settings such as restaurants, hotels, motels, catering operations, pubs, cafés and coffee shops. Possible job opportunities include:
• Bar Attendant
• Café Attendant
• Catering Assistant
• Food & Beverage Attendant
• Front Office Assistant
• Room Attendant
Everyone has the potential for continuous growth and Interchange Australia is committed to assisting our clients to be their best. This is achieved through our qualified, compassionate and dedicated team of staff that assist clients in all aspects of Interchange Australia’s programs.
