Interchange Australia: Offering a Wide Range of Activities for Clients – By Interchange Australia Consultant, Amber Hall
The introduction of the NDIS has brought a significant change to participants and their parents/carers lives. Many participants are reassured that their existing services have been retained whilst some have been given more choices to change the services they are receiving. There are also some that have had to apply for a review because their services have not been retained.
Change can be challenging however we are working closely with clients to offer a wide range of services for clients to achieve their goals. Interchange Australia offers a wide range of services either as a 1:1, small or large groups. Clients now have the option to choose how they are spending their funding. Recently a client had a terrific day attending car racing with a support worker. His NDIS plan has enabled him to allocate his funding from group activities to 1:1 services which he finds more enjoyable.
Interchange Australia will continue to provide a wide range of activities to ensure that we are offering choice to meet your goals. Our recent What’s on in Autumn calendar offers music, drama, cooking and tenpin bowling activities. These activities offer clients the chance to increase the wellbeing by engaging in activities that develop their skills, to continue to enjoy activities they already enjoy or try something new!
