Interchange Australia is a registered provider of NDIS supports including group based community, social and recreational activities. We recognise and value the importance of people being able to access social and recreational activities and the positive impact on physical, social and emotional wellbeing.
We support our clients in activities they are familiar with and enjoying and support them to try something new.
What are the benefits of participating in Interchange Australia’s social and recreational activities?
Our extensive range of activities offer the opportunity for fun, friendship and skill development. In addition to one off activities, we also offer short courses that will ensure people are increasing skills and developing their talents in their chosen fields.
A few of Interchange Australia’s significant opportunities that we have offered our clients include;
• RockCan – annual Rock Concert. Our band the Hidden Wonders performed so well at their last concert that they were invited to perform at Stockland Nowra earlier this month
• Stage Fright Players – biannual Stage productions
• Creative Creations Art Workshops – biannual art exhibitions Our artists recently held an exhibition and workshop as part of the 2016 Southern Highlands Arts Festival.
• ASDESI –holiday programs with engaging activities for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
What support is provided?
Interchange Australia provides qualified professional experienced staff to ensure people are maximising their enjoyment of activities. Our exceptional staff assist people to achieve their goals with all the necessary support in a caring and inclusive environment.
What is the cost of activities?
The NDIS covers the cost of support workers to enable participants to engage in social and recreational activities within the community. NDIS participants cannot claim payment for expenses related to recreational pursuits, such as tickets or sporting club fees.
